Tommy Tubb, age 66, of Centerville passed away November 1, 2021 in College Station, Texas. A funeral service honoring his life was held 11 A.M., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Brad Brock officiated the service.
Thomas Dorwin “Tommy” Tubb was born October 24, 1955 in Palestine, Texas to Lois D. & Dorothy (Simms) Tubb. He was raised in Centerville and had played football for the Centerville Tiger High School Football team. Following high school graduation in 1974, Tommy soon went to work on the pipeline in Alaska. This career opportunity afforded Tommy and his family travel all across the United States. In fact, Tommy had worked in every state but four!
In his free time, Tommy enjoyed fishing most of all. He had also hunted, was an avid gun and pocket knife collector and liked feeding his cattle. Tommy had especially enjoyed all of the road trips to various work sites. He was a lifelong resident of Leon County and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Centerville.
Tommy was preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Cal Tubb; sister, Terry (Tubb) Clements and an infant sister. Surviving family members include sons, Joseph Tubb & wife, Lisa of Bedias and Chad Tubb & wife, Christie of Conroe; daughters, Heather (Tubb) Wiess & husband, Michael of Huntsville and Amelia Tubb of Huntsville; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashtyn, Chevy-Lane, Nova, Paisley, Jack, Shawn and CJ; niece, Kelse Clements of Dallas; great niece, Dhara Siva; aunt, Mary Tubb and cousins, Danny Tubb and Debbie Moore.
Final arrangements were under the care of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas
