Funeral services for Odell Martin, 77, of Leona, Texas were held 1 P.M., Friday, October 15, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Rev. David Norton officiated the service. A private interment followed in Leona Cemetery, Leona, Texas.

Delmos “Odell” Martin was born May 3, 1944 in Gist, Texas to Delmos & Gladys (Smith) Martin. He worked most of his life as a diesel mechanic and had owned property in Leona for over forty years. The past twenty years of Odell’s life were spent on that property in Leona where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on his equipment. Odell was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Madisonville. He passed away October 10, 2021 in Bryan, Texas.
Odell was preceded in death by both of his parents. Surviving family members include wife, Gladys Bell Martin of Leona; son, Kenneth Martin of Humble; daughters, Terri Langley (Jim) of Cypress, Danna Jackson (Jim) of Madisonville and Patricia Traywick (Darin) of Devers; brothers, Donnie Martin of Edge, Silas Martin of Leona and Eugene Martin of Houston and sisters, Faye Matoska of LaGrange and Delores Ashley of Edge. Odell is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas was in charge of final arrangements.
