Age 82. Memorial services for Norman Reynolds will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Rev. Richard Gillet will officiate. Mr. Reynolds passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bryan. He was born in Livingston, TX, on December 31, 1938, to the late Ira & Johnnie Reynolds. Norman attended Galena Park High School and entered into the U. S. Navy. After his military service he attended the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Norman married Margie on December 4, 1956, and shared over sixty-four years of marriage together. While attending U of H, he worked for Houston Natural Gas Co, and later for Exxon and Enron for many years until his retirement. After retiring, he moved to Jewett and continued to work, raising cattle and owning a chicken farm. Mr. Reynolds enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He attended all the school and athletic actives of theirs that he could. He is survived by his wife, Margie Reynolds of Jewett; one daughter, Terry Simpson & husband Gary of Needville; one son, Michael Reynolds & wife Samra of Spring; six grandchildren, Jamie Ramsour & husband Shane, Scott Simpson & wife Courtney, Jeff Ahearn & wife Tamara, Alyssa Murray & husband Ben, Shevas Reynolds, and Stevi Erickson & husband Tim; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nora Krisher of Kingwood and Vickie Rosier of Groesbeck; one brother, Donn Reynolds & wife Paula of Kingwood; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by one son, Melvin Ray Reynolds.
