Graveside services for Linda Winstead Johnson were on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Sardis Cemetery near Jewett. Mr. Bill Hughes officiated and music was provided by Mr. Bo Williams.
It’s not how long the flower blooms, but how beautifully. At sixty-eight years young, Linda Winstead Johnson, born April 24, 1953, in Mexia, was surrounded by family when she was escorted by her angels to her heavenly home on May 3, 2021.
She is survived by her husband of over twenty years, Wayne Johnson of Flint; son Keith & wife Randi Johnson of Jewett, son, Kurtis Johnson of Jewett; daughter, Nicolette & Keith Tucker of Marquez; daughter, Stacy & Joe Brent of Jewett; grandchildren, Kaelyn & Keston Johnson, Kassidy & Jocelyn Johnson, Zoey Johnson, Kaisley Johnson, Abbi & Gavin Taylor, Averi & Blaine Brent, Kyla & Madison Brent, and Kolt Tucker; sister, Sheila Morrow; niece, Samantha Morrow; nephew, Nathan Morrow; uncle Zane “Uncle Boy” Newsom & wife Frances of Mesquite. She is also survived by numerous family, friends, and “Bonus grandchildren” that called her “Maw Maw”.
Linda loved to travel and follow her grandchildren to every sporting/cheerleading event that she could, and she will continue to follow them in spirit.
