Agustin Salazar, 73, of Buffalo, Texas passed away March 9, 2021 in Palestine, Texas. He was born January 27, 1948 in Monterrey, Mexico to Sabastian Salazar and Antonia (Alvarez) Salazar.
Agustin had lived in Leon County most of his life and was employed with Nucor Steel for twenty years until his retirement. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. Agustin was a handyman and enjoyed passing time by repairing broken items. He was a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Agustin was preceded in death by both of his parents and an infant son. He is survived by sons, Jerry, Gabby, Jesus, Jaime and Antonio Salazar; grandchildren, Nathan, Randy, Rudy, Priscilla, Emily, Maya, Genesis, Yareli, Valarie, Maggie and Christian; great-granddaughter, Leontina and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Agustin were held 1 P.M., Friday, March 12, 2021 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Salatiel Ramirez officiated the service. Interment followed in Sardis Cemetery near Jewett, Texas.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
