On Friday, January 22, 2021 Dennis Jones passed away at the age of 70. He was born in Pasadena, Texas to Charles and Peggy Jones. His family moved to Odessa, Texas in 1957. He graduated from Odessa Permian High School in 1969. Shortly after high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served as a Military Police Officer until 1971. He worked in the West Texas oilfield as a welder for many years before making the decision to pursue his dream of attending Chiropractic College. His family moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1987 and he graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1991 proving his tenacity. He enjoyed many years of practicing chiropractic medicine and making new friends along the way.
He loved tinkering on all things. If it had wheels, he could make it run. If it floated, he could make a wake. If it was broken, he could fix it. He loved southern gospel music, loved a negotiation, never met a stranger and was a master story teller. He had a servant’s heart and donated much of his time and talents volunteering with the Lions Club and various citizens police academies. He loved his family and loved his friends like family. He had a deeply rooted faith in Jesus that sustained him throughout his life. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy Hughbanks Jones and stepmother Arada Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife Beverly, his children Neisha Jones, Chad Jones and wife Lori, Joshua Onken and wife Alison, grandchildren Trevor Jones, Jackson Jones, Lindy Jones and Sebastian Onken, his father Charles Jones, mother-in-law Winnie Jefferson and siblings Cindy Hoskins and Cliff Jones, brothers-in-law Steven Hoskins, Richard Jefferson, Craig Jefferson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
