James “Jimmy” Delton Beddingfield, Jr. was born March 31, 1941 in Jewett, Texas and passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. He was 79 years old. He was the first born to the marriage of James Delton, Sr. and Ruth Davidson Beddingfield.
A private graveside service was held Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Frankston City Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Wiley officiating. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
Mr. Beddingfield was a Baptist and a believer in Christ. He worked in numerous positions for Hunt Oil Company for over 43 years before his retirement. James was a member of the Frankston Riding Club. He loved horses, cows, burning brush piles, feeding his catfish, and hanging out in his workshop; but most of all, he loved his home “on FM 837” and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Ann Beddingfield of Frankston; sons, Ray Beddingfield and wife Suzanne of Frankston, and Casey Beddingfield and wife Mandy of Kilgore; grandsons, Brady Beddingfield and wife Kristen, Mason Beddingfield, Griffin Beddingfield, and Ryan Beddingfield; and his great granddaughters, Reagan and Hadley Beddingfield. He is also survived by his brothers, Don Beddingfield and wife Jayne, and Ron Beddingfield and wife Julie, all of Frankston; sisters-in-law, Glenda Douglas and husband Charles of Brownwood, and Gayle Whiddon and husband Rodney of Payne Springs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
