Leon County under Shelter in Place Order

 

 

Leon County Judge, Byron Ryder, has announced a Declaration of Local State Disaster due to public health emergency. The county judge has determined that extraordinary and immediate measures must be taken to respond quickly to prevent and slow down the community spread of COVID-19. All individuals currently living in Leon County are ordered to shelter at their place of residence. All persons shall leave their residences only for essential activities, essential government functions or to operate essential businesses. This order went into effect on Monday, March 30, 2020 and extends for a period of two weeks, ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2020.
