Funeral services for Nina Ridenour, age 88, were held 12 Noon, Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Ed Davis officiated the service.
Nina Lucille Ridenour was born July 4, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts. Her parents were Herbert W. & Lydia (Crowell) Doucette. She attended business school after high school and was a homemaker most of her life. Nina was a devoted mother and loved all children. She was an avid quilter, seamstress and decorator and used her talent in painting to decorate her own home. Nina enjoyed being outdoors in her flower gardens. She was a wildlife rehabilitator, butterfly enthusiast and animal rescuer.
Nina had lived in Conroe for the past four years, coming from Buffalo where she had lived since the 1980’s. She attended the congregation at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in both Buffalo and in Conroe. Nina passed away November 8, 2019 in Shenandoah, Texas following a brief illness.
Nina was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Wilburn Ridenour and brother, David Doucette. Her surviving family members include sons, Robert Ridenour, Steven Ridenour (Wendy), James Ridenour and Mark Ridenour (Tim Tim); daughters, Luci Brown (Jack Harriman), Catherine Fowler (Fred) and Rebecca Everett; brothers, Burt and Jessie Doucette and sister, Dolly Gibson. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
