Sue Davis, age 81, passed away in the early morning hours of October 13, 2019 in Fairfield, Texas. Her funeral services were held 10 A.M., Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Randy Ayers officiated.
Mary Louise Davis was born November 1, 1937 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Willie M. & Christine (Richardson) James. Known by most as Sue, she had been a resident of Leon County since 1968 and worked as a homemaker her whole life. The things Sue loved most was her church, Celebration Church in Buffalo of which she was an active member, and her family. Sue had been a devoted wife and mother and always enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and taking them to new places.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Stanley Davis; brother, Willie “Bud” James and daughter-in-law, Lauri Davis. She is survived by sons, Mitchell Davis, Chuck Davis (Lynn) and Robert Davis (Sheila) all of Buffalo; daughter, Brenda Grigg (Tim) of Kosse; sister, Erma Cramer of Fairfield; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren with one on the way.
