On Tuesday, April 16, the Leon Lady Cougars officially clinched the District 21 softball championship, blasting the Latexo Lady Tigers 18-0 and 16-0 in back-to-back run-ruled 3-inning games. Leon bats pounded out 34 runs and 28 hits including five home runs. The Maci Bumpurs/Kassidy Cravey combo allowed zero runs and five hits and, over two games, struck out five and walked no one. Rosie Rivera went 5/6 for the doubleheader, clubbed three home runs, one a grand slam in Game 1, and drove in fourteen runs. Jenna and Maci Bumpurs each had round-trippers in Game 2.
