Gilbert Ray Honeycutt

 

Gilbert Ray Honeycutt was from Hope, Arkansas. He was born on September 11, 1936. He passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on Friday evening, December 7th at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Gilbert retired to Leon County after working as a technician for the oil and gas industry for thirty-three years. Gilbert took an active interest in both of his granddaughters, Kendal and Kaydee. He traveled to every event they had and because of this he will fondly be remembered as Leon’s biggest, oldest fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Leslie Honeycutt and Esther May York Honeycutt, his baby brother Reese Honeycutt and brother-in-law Theo  Formby. He is survived by his son Mark Honeycutt and wife Vicki, his granddaughters Kendal and Kaydee Honeycutt, his sister Ava Formby and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at Rick Bowers Funeral Home on Sunday, December 16 at 2:00 pm.

    Prayers and sympathy for Gilbert’s family. He was a classmate and such a nice guy. Know he will be missed by all his family and friends. May God bring you all peace.

    Sorry to hear of Gilbert’s passing. He was a special friend to me in school. My prayers and sympathy are with the family at this time.
