Lula Faye Woodson

Lula Faye Woodson,  age 80 of Buffalo, Texas, formerly of Jewett, Texas passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Freestone Medical Center, Fairfield, Texas.
Services were held June 23, 2018 @ 10:00 A.M. at First St. Holland Baptist Church C L Bolden Family Life Center in Buffalo, Texas.
Internment: Sand Hill Cemetery, Leon County, Buffalo, Texas.
Lula Mae Woodson was born September 3, 1938 to Oscar and Bessie Holland-Perkins in Jewett, Texas.
Lula Faye was raised in Jewett, Texas and attended school at G. W. Carver Public School in Jewett.
Lula Faye accepted Christ at an early age and united with Davis/Brown Chapel Church of God in Christ. She served as Church Secretary and Mother of the Church. Lula Faye was very active in church fundraisers and helping whenever she could.
Lula Faye married Charles Ray Woodson in Holy Matrimony.  This union was blessed with three children.
Lula Faye worked as a cook for the hospital and school.  She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star.
On June 16, 2018 in Fairfield, Texas, Lula’s hard working hands were called to rest.  She was preceded in death by her Parents: Oscar and Bessie Perkins; Husband: Charlie Ray Woodson; Siblings: Odis (Lela) Williams, Elma Lee (Lee) Brown, Edna (Elliott) Robinson, Emma (Thomas) Robinson, Zezika Brown; Brothers-n-Law: Tommy Flanagan and Ezekel Brown.
Lula Faye leaves to cherish her precious memories; Son: Charlie D. (Thersa)Woodson of Buffalo, Texas; Two Daughters: Ree Woodson of Buffalo, Texas and Nancy Levells of Lancaster, Texas; Two Sisters: Josephine Brown and Novella Flanagan; Three Grandchildren:  Nicole (Donovan) Wright, Shymanek Levells and Daniel Woodson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
