He had worked for R Construction in Buffalo as a truck driver and later, crew leader. For the past two years, Curtis had enjoyed a life of leisure, working on his tractors when he pleased, checking on the cows, watching cartoons on television and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. Curtis was a family man and always supportive of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his wife attended as many of their events as they were able. Curtis spent some of his last days enjoying the company of his grandchildren; making them breakfast, working in the garage and sharing many good laughs with each other. He had lived in Centerville since 1986, coming from Stafford, and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Church of Christ in Madison County.
