Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Truelock, 69, were held on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Bro. Lee Weiler officiated.
Mrs. Truelock passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
She was born in Brenham on February 6, 1949, to Steven and Ardina Mikolajczak. She worked in Houston for Tenneco for several years before moving to Jewett. Dorothy married Stan in 1997, and shared some twenty-one years of marriage together. She worked in the meat market for Dailey’s Supermarket in Jewett, then in the same capacity at Brookshire Brothers in Buffalo before her sixteen year career as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Dorothy loved sitting on her porch, drinking sweet tea, growing plants and cooking for her family. She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Stan Truelock of Jewett; three daughters, Lisa Payne of Jewett, Marla Ross and husband, Don, of Waco, and Alisha Stone of Jewett; three grandchildren, Paige McKenzie, Steven Beene, and Kathrine Beene; two great-grandchildren, Bristol Ann Lummus and Emery Clary; one step-son, Wade Truelock and wife, Priscilla, of Pearland; two step-grandchildren, Sierra Michelle Truelock and Sienna Truelock; three brothers, Michael Mikolajczak and wife, Maxine, of Shiloh, Steven Mikolajczak and wife, Nancy, of Katy, and Larry Gene Mikolajczak and wife, Debbie, of Houston; one sister, Margie Bielamowicz and husband, Butch, of Crosby; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Truelock was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Ardina Mikolajczak.
