March 6 Primary Results – Leon County local races

County Commissioners, Dean Stanford and Joey Sullivan, mark the returns on the tote board.


Voters in Leon County decided five of the six contested races held Tuesday, March 6. The race for Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4 will be decided in a run-off election between Lee Weiler and Robert Kelley in May.

In the race for the 369th District Court Judge, Michael Davis defeated Frank Dobrovolny 1722 to 1260.

Leon County Judge – Incumbent Leon County Judge Byron Ryder defeated Gary Danford 2117 to 1123.

District Clerk – Cassandra Noey defeated incumbent Beverly Wilson – 1724 to 1495.

County Commissioner Precinct 2 – David Ferguson defeated Sandy Lumley – 534 to 246.

Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 – Lori Reid defeated Mark Taylor – 915 to 525.

Justice of the Peace Pct. 4:

Weiler – 383

Williams – 150

Kelley – 388

There will be a run-off between Weiler and Kelley.
