Annie Bladen

A homegoing service for Annie Lou Bladen, 61, was held Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Rev. Winston Spencer officiated the service. Interment followed in the Ward Cemetery, south of Centerville.
Annie Lou Bladen was born on December 23, 1955 in Leona, Texas to Albert Lee and Maggie L. (Green) Proctor. She was a graduate of Centerville High School and was baptized in the Cairo Baptist Church in the Egypt Community of Leon County. Annie held jobs in several local restaurants before becoming an aide for Madisonville CISD. During the eighteen years she spent there, Annie worked mostly with students in the special education department. She loved her job and the students she helped. Annie had a green thumb and loved growing flowers in her garden. She could grow just about anything she wanted. She also enjoyed traveling and cooking with her husband. Annie was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a Youth Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary and Announcing Clerk. Most of all, Annie cherished her family. She loved spending time with them as much as she was able. When Annie became ill, she never once complained during her sickness. She was a light to others—always encouraging them during their dark moments. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
