JoAnn Miller

Funeral services for JoAnn Miller were held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Pastor Tuffy Loftin and Bro. David Shiflett officiated the service. A private interment will be held at a later date in the Houston National Cemetery.
JoAnn Miller was born on February 6, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles & Willo Ethel (Kelly) Ruble. She and her late husband, Claude, lived in Houston, Texas until he retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. They later moved to Onalaska, Texas. JoAnn had worked as a hospital administrator and enjoyed painting in oils. After her husband’s passing she moved to Centerville, in 2006, to be near her family. JoAnn was Baptist in faith. She passed away on October 28, 2017 in Huntsville, Texas.
Preceded in death by both of her parents; husband of fifty-seven years, Claude Miller; brother, Charles Ruble and sister-in-law, Margie Ruble.
Survived by son, Michael Miller (Roberta) of League City; daughters, Paulette Rappolee (Dickie) of Centerville and Marcia Milliken (Richard) of Crosby; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin Miller (Ruth) of Channelview; sister-in-law, Dee Dee Thigpen of San Antonio; special person in JoAnn’s life, Pat Ruble (Stephen) of San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Mandy, Scott, Steven, Krissi, Jennifer and Linzi; great-grandchildren, Eric, Cole, Caleb, Cooper, Joshua, Hunter, Emily and one-on-the-way and her Boxer Dog, “Bernie.”
