Sue Ann “Susan” Simpson


Susan Simpson, of Centerville, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 16, 2017, in Bryan, Texas at the age of seventy-two.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Chapel of the Hills Assembly of God Church in Centerville. Rev. Dwayne Word officiated the service, assisted by Pastor Gary Stutz. Susan was then laid to rest in the Centerville Cemetery.
Sue Ann “Susan” Simpson was born on October 3, 1944, in Wyoming County, West Virginia to Claude and Betty (Christian) Reeves. She worked for Brazos Valley M.H.M.R. both in Centerville and Madisonville. Susan was a faithful member of Chapel of the Hills Assembly of God Church in Centerville. She was very active in her church and sang on the praise and worship team. Susan lived for her Bunko games played once a month where she always enjoyed fellowship with good friends.  Her favorite flower was the yellow rose. Throughout the past several years, Susan had spent her time helping others and enjoyed doing so. She also enjoyed a good shopping trip.
Preceded in death by both of her parents.
Survived by loving husband, Ira Simpson, of Centerville and two sons, John Simpson and wife, Threasa, of Hineston, Louisiana and Brian Simpson of Anahuac. Susan is also survived by three adoring grandchildren, Dustin, Breanna and Chantry Simpson and by numerous other extended family and friends.
