Funeral services for Minnie Pearl Haynes, 82, were held on Saturday, September 23, 2017,at the Jewett Community Center.
Minnie Pearl Haynes was born on December 18, 1934 to Mr. Joe B Haynes and Aronia Robinson Haynes.
Minnie later united with “The Exciting” Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was baptized many years ago and was a faithful member until her health began to fail her. She loved her church and never wanted to miss a Sunday.
Minnie, to whom many refer to as “Pearl,” attended grammar school on Sugar Street and later attended George Washington Carver High School
As a laborer, she worked many years as a helper at the Windmill Restaurant in Jewett, Texas. She later worked for Northwestern Coal Mine for approximately two years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joe B. and Aronia Haynes, brother Bobby R. Haynes and nephew Billy Charles Haynes
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted family; three sisters Margaret Jo Haynes (Jewett, TX), Irene Jackson (Dallas, TX), Lorene Haynes Moses(Cleo) of Dallas, TX, one brother Tommy L. Haynes (Bryan, TX); one sister-in-law Jessie Faye Haynes (Dallas,TX) A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
