Glenwood H. Deiss, 85, of Buffalo and formerly of Houston, passed away on August 24, 2017 in a Fairfield, Texas nursing home.
Graveside services were held Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, Texas.
Glenwood Deiss was born on April 28, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Herman and Bertha (Kemper) Deiss. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as an accountant in the oil industry. Glenwood was very active in his children’s lives, especially when all three of his boys were in Eagle Scouts. Additionally, he and his wife loved traveling to various places all over the world. Glenwood had lived in the Buffalo area for the past three years, coming from Huntsville and was Lutheran in faith.
Preceded in death by both of his parents and his eldest son, David Deiss, in 2014.
Survived by loving wife, Patricia Deiss of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Mary Deiss of Houston and Alan and Laurie Deiss of Buffalo; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
