Christopher Ray Lope

Christopher Ray Lopez was born on July 8, 1982 in Bryan, Texas to Tommy & Brenda (Carrigan) Lopez.  He worked as an electrician for several companies in the Houston area and was a lifelong resident of Tomball.
In his younger years, Chris and his brothers spent many summers visiting their grandparents in Centerville and attending Vacation Bible School at Calvary Baptist Church.  As he grew older, Chris developed a love for motorcycles and four-wheelers.  He also enjoyed the occasional fishing excursion when he had the opportunity.  Chris had a special fondness for all animals, especially cats and dogs.  He treated every animal with kindness and sometimes, with or without his parents consent, even brought home a stray cat or dog.
Chris passed away on June 20, 2017 in a Houston hospital.  He was preceded in death  by his maternal grandfather, Howard Carrigan and paternal grandparents, Lucio & Mary Lopez.  Surviving family members include his parents, Tommy & Brenda (Carrigan) Lopez of Tomball; maternal grandmother, Margie Carrigan of Centerville; brothers, Justin Lopez (wife, Celia) of Houston and Derek Lopez of Tomball and nephew, Cain Lopez.  Chris is also survived by his love, Meghan, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
A celebration of Chris’s life was held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Centerville.  Bro. Dean Easterling, pastor of the church, officiated.  Interment followed in the Centerville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Justin Lopez, Derek Lopez, Jeffery Lopez, Ruben Lopez, Jonathan Lopez & Charlie Carrigan.
