Mike Curry, 55, of Buffalo, passed away on January 31, 2017, in a Tyler, Texas hospital. A visitation was held from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M., Sunday, February 5, 2017, at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
Mike was born Michael Dean Curry on January 21, 1962, in Houston, Texas to Edward & Rita (Windham) Curry. He loved playing the guitar and had just received a brand new one for his birthday. Mike could play all kinds of music. He was also an avid storyteller. Whether the stories were good, or not, Mike enjoyed talking to people and telling them any kind of story that would draw a good laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Preceded in death by both of his parents.
Surviving family members include sons, Jacob Curry (Stella) of Buffalo and Joshua Curry of Centerville; daughters, Dana Wood of Baytown and Amanda Bailey (Brian) of Madisonville; brother, John Allen Curry of Houston and grandchildren, Emily and Ina Cowgill, Alexa and Bryla Wood and Cadence Curry. Mike is also survived by his biological father, Jerry Dean Morgan and biological half-brothers, Gerald and Michael Morgan.
